Where Augusta’s Tournament Week Meets Purpose: Goodwill and Edgar’s Hospitality Group Debut Exclusive April Experiences
From a Rae’s Creek–inspired signature dessert to curated retail finds and rooftop dining, every purchase supports local education and career training

Visiting Augusta this April? These Augusta tournament week events offer more than just time on the course, inviting you to experience the city through local dining, shopping, and purpose-driven hospitality.
As part of these Augusta tournament week events, beginning April 6, Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA’s retail stores across the region offer a tournament-inspired treasure hunt, with the largest selection of golf apparel, accessories, and themed finds available at Goodwill’s 3179 Washington Rd location. Additional stores throughout the CSRA will feature a more limited assortment, giving shoppers multiple ways to take part in the experience.
Each find carries added meaning, helping fund job training, education, and career services throughout the community.
“At Goodwill, every experience connects back to opportunity,” said Haley Wesley, Associate Vice President for Marketing and Brand Advancement. “This week brings that to life through retail and dining experiences that reflect the spirit of Augusta, bring people together, and provide meaningful support for students and others in our community.”
From there, the experience extends into Augusta’s dining scene through Edgar’s Hospitality Group, Goodwill’s social enterprise and a growing presence in the region’s food culture.
The experience doesn’t stop at what you find—it continues in how you spend your time in Augusta.
Mornings can begin at Edgar’s Bakehouse, where fresh coffee and handcrafted pastries offer an easy start before heading to the course or exploring the city. Guests can also pick up special Augusta-themed cookie tins ($45)—available in flavors like traditional, chocolate-striped, cranberry orange, pistachio, mint, and coconut—offered in-store or online as a shareable, take-home Tournament Week treat. Order online at: https://www.edgarsbakehouse.com/order-online/
At the center of the Bakehouse menu is a creation already drawing attention.
A vibrant green pastry known as the “Turtle.”
Inspired by the turtles of Rae’s Creek, the handcrafted dessert is a detailed nod to Augusta. Built with pâte à choux and chocolate craquelin, filled with rich chocolate pastry cream, and finished with a golf ball-inspired truffle layered with caramel, toasted pecans, and chocolate ganache, it is both visually striking and uniquely tied to the moment.
As the day winds down, evenings shift to Edgar’s Grille, where a thoughtfully curated tournament week menu offers a relaxed, refined dining experience. Reservations are recommended throughout the week. Edgar’s Grille will host its Easter Brunch on April 5, a great way to tee off the week.
For those looking to take in the city from a different vantage point, Edgar’s Above Broad offers rooftop views of downtown Augusta alongside lunch offerings, afternoon bites, and signature drinks including the 19th Hole, Par-Tee Punch, and The Azalea.
Across each location, there is another layer to the experience.
Edgar’s Hospitality Group venues operate in partnership with Helms College, where students work alongside culinary and hospitality professionals in real-world environments. During one of Augusta’s most high-profile weeks, those students are gaining hands-on experience that directly connects to future careers.
For visitors, it’s a way to experience Augusta beyond the expected.
For the community, the impact is lasting.
Proceeds from Goodwill and Edgar’s Hospitality Group support education, job training, and career pathways through Goodwill programs and Helms College—helping individuals build skills, find employment, and create new opportunities.
