THE DONATION PROCESS
With every donation, you provide jobs for individuals with disabilities and disadvantaging conditions in our local community. Last year, 3,932 individuals were placed into competitive employment through the collection, processing and selling of donations. Whether it’s the retail clerk, the donation attendant or the student at Helms College each position is created to put our community back to work.

If you believe the value of your donation is over $5,000, and if you plan to claim a charitable tax deduction, you may need to have Goodwill complete certain tax forms to be able to claim a charitable deduction. Before making a donation of that value, please call Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the CSRA at 478.471.4852.
Federal law permits Goodwill donors to claim tax deductions for donated clothing and household items in good, used condition or better. While the IRS requires donors to value their items, you can download this list of average prices as a guide for determining the value of your donation. Values are approximate and are based on items in good condition. For more information, please visit: IRS Publication 561
