“Our career fairs are one of the ways we fulfill our mission to help people build lives and strengthen our community,” said Leah Pontani, senior vice president of career development. “Employers are continuing to hire as they recover from the pandemic, and our career fairs are a great way to connect with those employers.”
Last year’s career fair hosted more than 40 employers who met with more than 120 job seekers. GIMG operates in 35 counties across Georgia and South Carolina and placed over 30,000 people in competitive employment in the last five years. GIMG placed people in 4,105 jobs last year alone.
Job seekers should come with a resumé́ and two forms of identification for on-the-spot interviews and hiring. Job seekers who need assistance with their resumé́ or interview skills prior to the event should visit their local Job Connection Career Center.
