Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA to hold Career Fair in Augusta
AUGUSTA, Ga. – March 3, 2022 — Goodwill of Middle Georgia (GIMG) and the CSRA is holding the CSRA Spring 2022 Career Fair in the Snelling Conference Center at 3165 Washington Road from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 16. The in-person event is open to job seekers and employers in our community and will host numerous corporate, government and nonprofit agencies to promote their summer jobs, internships, and career opportunities in a variety of fields. This year’s employers include Augusta University, AU Health, Ellefson Transportation Group, Chick-fil-A, Columbia County School District, and the CSRA Economic Opportunity Authority. Previous employers included Amazon, NavCare, and Marriott.
“The career fair is a realization of our mission to build lives, families and communities one career at a time,” said Leah Pontani, senior vice president of career development. “The COVID-19 pandemic imposed a unique set of challenges on employers. We successfully brought the career fair back in person last year and are happy to do so again.”
Last year’s career fair hosted more than 24 employers who met with more than 220 job seekers. GIMG operates in 35 counties across Georgia and South Carolina and has placed over 30,000 people in competitive employment in the last five years. In 2021, GIMG placed people in 4,105 jobs.
Job seekers should come with a résumé, two forms of identification, and direct deposit information for on-the-spot interviews and hiring. Job seekers that need assistance with their resume or interview skills prior to the event should visit their local Job Connection Career Center.
Three sponsorship levels help support our mission and provide businesses exposure to job seekers and the community. Employers interested in participating in the job fair can register here: https://goodwillworks.org/spring2022careerfair/
