In 2024, Goodwill’s mission took root in powerful new ways.
We opened a new retail training store on Walton Way in Augusta, expanding opportunity in a vital part of the community. And when Hurricane Helene hit, our mission proved resilient—Helms College students prepared hot meals for local children and families in need.
Supporters like you helped scholarships grow through the 2024 Goodwill Gala: Forces for Good. We launched new learning pathways, including an online associate degree in Retail Operations Management, and partnered with the ECMC Foundation to study and scale our impact across the region.

At Helms College, 241 students enrolled and 128 graduated, many stepping into jobs in healthcare, hospitality, and skilled trades before they even crossed the stage. With a graduation rate over 70 percent, nearly twice the national college average, nearly twice the national community college average, Helms continues to stand apart as a launchpad for opportunity.
Each graduate represents more than a credential. They represent dreams realized, cycles broken, and futures taking root.
Goodwill Career Education Goodwill Career Education helped 174 graduates grow their skills and transform their futures. Through high-quality instruction and personalized coaching, students gained industry-recognized credentials, hands-on experience, and the confidence to pursue meaningful work.
Each success story is a seed planted, growing into stronger careers, families, and communities.
More than 79,000 guests dined at Edgar’s Hospitality Group restaurants and venues. Each meal was more than a dining experience. It was an investment in people.
These venues serve as applied learning labs for Helms College, where students gain real-world skills that lead to careers, confidence, and brighter futures.
