AUGUSTA, GA — A new wave of skilled professionals is stepping into the workforce this week as Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA hosts its Augusta Career Education graduation ceremony. In a region where access to education and job readiness can transform lives, these graduates embody a powerful story of second chances and upward mobility. More than half of them have also earned an industry-recognized credential. They range from aspiring healthcare workers to future business leaders and logistics professionals, representing more than just academic achievement. They stand as a testament to the strength of access, determination, and community support.
The ceremony also recognizes students who have advanced through language learning programs, preparing them for career success and greater participation in the workforce and community.
“These graduates represent the heart of our mission,” said Leah Pontani, Senior Vice President of Career Development. “They’ve overcome barriers, developed in-demand skills, and are now equipped to pursue brighter futures for themselves and their families.”
