Build Career Pathways When You Shop Goodwill

Wednesday Color Tag Sale | Goodwill Corporate

What's the Story on Those Goodwill Color Codes?

Have you ever wondered about the blue, red, green or yellow color tags or the letters B, R, G or Y on Goodwill merchandise? Those color codes help our employees manage Goodwill’s inventory. The tags are added when a donated item is processed so our employees know how long the item has been available.

After three weeks, items with that color tag are on sale for 50% off the fourth week – with most clothing 99 cents on Monday! On Wednesdays, all housewares, furniture, books and accessories marked with the color tag of the week are only 99 cents! (Offer not valid on any new good items or specialty priced items.) Any unsold items are then sent to our Last Chance! outlet or recycled to make room for fresh inventory at your Goodwill retail store.
