What the Fork? Put That Diet Down!

Meet author, speaker and life coach Jennifer Beverage at Hire Grounds Cafe

Hire Grounds Café, located at 3179 Washington Road in Augusta, is hosting author Jennifer Beverage on Thursday, October 24 from 6-8 p.m. for a signing of her book, “What the Fork? Put That Diet Down!”

In addition to being an author, Beverage is a speaker, Certified Health Coach and founder of Uncaged Feminine. She is a life coach who mentors women to choose freedom for themselves by shifting their beliefs, changing their habits and creating whatever their hearts desire with fun, play and ease.

“I wrote ‘What the Fork? Put That Diet Down!’ as a love letter to the women of the world,” Beverage said. “I spent most of my life dieting, hating and shaming my body, and cultivating a love/hate relationship with food. It felt suffocating to live like that. Years ago, I found a better way to lose weight and keep it off. I felt so amazing! I wanted every woman to feel that way, so I wrote my book to teach them how.”

Beverage will share a message during the wine and cheese reception and copies of her book will be available for purchase and signing. She said she wants women to walk away with renewed hope that they can lose weight, actually keep it off, learn to love their bodies unconditionally and trust themselves with food.

“We’re so pleased to welcome Jennifer to Hire Grounds,” said Ashley Brown, Senior Manager of Community Outreach at Goodwill. “This is a wonderful opportunity to spend some time with a dynamic, positive and inspiring speaker and writer. It’s going to be a great girls night out, and we are really looking forward to it.”

Hire Grounds is located on the Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA campus, between the Goodwill retail store and the Job Connection. A portion of the event’s book sales will go directly to support Goodwill’s mission.

“I'm excited to come to Hire Grounds to share my book and my message of hope,” the author said. “Just as Hire Grounds in partnership with Goodwill and the Job Connection, provides hope for people who are met with barriers to employment by providing opportunities for new career pathways.”
